Metin2 is a classic online interactive role playing game that can be used on a PC or laptop. The plot centers somewhere in mysterious Asia, where martial arts, mysticism and ancient warfare combine with teamwork and alliance building. It includes all of the elements of a good strategy, fantasy, and mystery game, but it lacks good graphics and sound.

The aim is to collect items, improve skills and earn higher rankings in the martial arts through a series of tests and confrontations. However, the story lacks a certain element of surprise and suspense, and there is little to keep users engaged beyond the first few levels. You can fight, negotiate, partner with others and direct your own movements through the game field. I find the keyboard commands to be clumsy and the mouse doesn't work within the entire field of play as well.

Another problem is with the other users. Some can be very rude and annoying, and a lot of them drop off as soon as they disconnect from the game. You can accumulate points and reach higher levels as your skills improve, but there are not really any rewards or incentives to keep moving forward.

There are some nice backdrops and characters, and the game includes the option to switch through multiple views. You also have access to a map, and hints or clues are available that help to navigate through the game. There are also some cool weapons that are traditionally associated with martial arts, in addition to swords, spears and bows and arrows.

There is something missing from the game that is hard to put into words. It doesn't have the same kind of addictive quality that is associated with other successful role playing games. Metin2 is fun for a little while, but it gets dull and pointless after going through a few levels.
